I had a really enjoyable stay at the Sir Albert Hotel, with the staff providing warm and helpful service. The room was stylish and clean, and the location in the vibrant De Pijp neighborhood was fantastic. However, I did encounter a few issues during my visit that affected my overall experience.
Rooms
6.0
The room was well-appointed, stylish, and clean, but I expected more from a suite, as it was just a single room with no separate area, which was disappointing (especially being a family with a baby).
Service
5.0
While most staff were friendly and welcoming, the manager's attitude was uncooperative and aggressive when addressing my concerns about the room's layout and my requests for alternatives.

The hotel is situated in the De Pijp area, close to museums and markets, which made exploring the city very convenient and pleasant (I loved walking to the nearby attractions!).

I dined at the on-site Izakaya restaurant twice, and both meals were fantastic with a vibrant atmosphere; the breakfast options truly stood out with excellent flavors (I especially loved the egg station).
Facilities

The hotel offered a range of amenities, including guest bicycles for exploring Amsterdam, but I did have a frustrating experience with parking advice at check-in.

I had a truly mixed experience at Sir Albert Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the complimentary prosecco upon arrival. The room, while modern and very clean, felt quite small and dark for my liking. Despite its location being a short metro ride from the city center and surrounded by fantastic local eateries, I found the amenities lacking, particularly with no air conditioning during my stay.

My room was stylish, but on the smaller side with low lighting. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was excellent with a waterfall head. However, I missed having a full-length mirror and felt the room could’ve used more natural light.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and helped with requests, but there were moments that felt a bit rushed or unbothered, especially when I sought advice about local parking options.

The hotel is in the De Pijp area, which has a cool vibe and plenty of local spots to eat and chill. Plus, it’s really close to the popular Albert Cuyp market. It’s not right in the center, but just a quick metro ride gets you there.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed breakfast, as it had a good variety, but I found it odd that some dining options weren't included in the room rate. The on-site Izakaya restaurant has a trendy atmosphere, but it felt more geared towards diners than hotel guests just wanting a drink.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel has some nice touches, like drink-making facilities and stylish communal areas, the absence of air conditioning and not enough in-room entertainment options was disappointing. Wi-Fi was free, which was a plus.

My stay at Sir Albert Hotel in Amsterdam was enjoyable, thanks to its proximity to key attractions and a vibrant neighborhood. I appreciated the modern, stylish room design and the excellent breakfast spread. However, the cramped layout of the bathroom in my room was a downside, affecting overall comfort during my stay.

I had a lovely stay at Sir Albert Hotel. The stylish interiors and comfortable beds made me feel pampered, and the welcoming check-in experience with a complimentary Prosecco set a great tone. However, I did notice that the location isn't very central, which might not suit everyone. That said, the nearby attractions like the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum were easily accessible, and the area had a unique vibe of its own.

My room was immaculate and provided a great view. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, making it ideal for relaxation after a long day of exploring. The bathroom was equipped with high-quality toiletries and an excellent rain shower, though I noticed the remote for the TV didn't work well.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate my needs. They even offered to help with museum ticket purchases to save me from standing in line, enhancing my overall experience.

Although the hotel isn't right in the center of Amsterdam, I found the De Pijp neighborhood charming. It was within walking distance of cultural landmarks and had great cafes and restaurants close by. This added to the allure of staying in a local area.

I enjoyed the trendy atmosphere of the on-site restaurant, although breakfast prices felt a bit steep at €21. I appreciated the variety offered and understand it matched the overall quality of the hotel.

The hotel provided excellent amenities like a coffee machine in my room and access to bicycle rentals for exploring the city in a quintessentially Dutch way. Overall, I found the facilities well-designed and up to date, contributing to a comfy stay.

I enjoyed the stylish design and cleanliness of the hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by a noisy room above the bar that made it hard to sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but I faced some frustration with their handling of a booking issue that was out of my control.
Rooms

The room was modern and well-decorated, yet the noise from the club below disrupted my sleep. Had to use ear plugs to manage the heavy bass, which was quite bothersome at night.
Service

The staff were generally helpful and welcoming, but they lacked the flexibility to resolve issues fairly. My experience with being charged a no-show fee due to a booking conflict was frustrating and poorly handled.

The hotel is perfectly situated in De Pijp, close to many attractions, yet away from the crowded central area. It's a great location for exploring the local culture and dining scene, making it easy to walk to museums and parks.
